I'm fascinated by documentary filmmaking mostly for its ability to carry viewers to worlds they wouldn't be able to visit otherwise. The most important goal of my creative process is to capture the life that surrounds us honestly and truly, yet with a strong audiovisual emphasis.
I'm a documentary filmmaker from the Czech Republic who makes people smile and think by filming stories about dedication - stories that are true and inspiring.
I've been working as an editor and director for about 17 years.
I work mostly for Czech television, but also for independent production companies.
The documentary "A Year in a Village" (2020) is my first as a director.
In 2023 Czech television released "First May" - a documentary about the history of this day throughout 1890 - 1990.
In the same year I finished Chasing The Wada Dream - a documentary about blockchain education in Africa.
In 2024, I edited and co-directed a feature documentary for cinemas Identita, about the history of Czech graphic design.
I also directed a documentary series on the history of Czech cinema. I'm currently finishing my first feature film One Must Live.
